Virtual Machines are used extensively in computer systems and in teaching Cyber Security and Digital Forensics.
Understanding what they are and how they work is important for understanding the ramifications of these uses.
This brief module has a short reading that links to several VM technologies, a brief video showing VMs, a concept assessment,
and a practicum assessment where the student installs and uses a VM on a personal computer.
IMPORTANT: It is necessary to complete this lesson as the Virtual Machine you will set up has all the tools installed for the rest of the assessments.
